The 26th China Annual Conference & Expo for International Education (CACIE) themed “Bridging Education and Beyond” was officially inaugurated at the China National Convention Center in Beijing. Organized by the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE), this year’s conference featured New Zealand as the guest country of honor. It included more than 100 bilateral and multilateral events, such as plenary sessions, parallel forums, cooperation negotiations and educational exhibitions. The conference brought together officials from embassies and consulates of more than 70 countries and regions, representatives of educational institutions, senior officials from the Ministry of Education, leaders from local education authorities, presidents of Chinese and overseas universities, members of CEAIE, and partner organizations.

Huai Jinpeng, Minister of Education of the People’s Republic of China, attended the conference and delivered a speech.

Liu Limin, President of the China Education Association for International Exchange, presided over the opening ceremony.

Shane Reti, New Zealand’s Minister of Tertiary Education and Minister of Science, Innovation and Technology, also delivered a speech at the 26th CACIE.

Wang Yan, Vice President of Zhejiang Industry & Trade Vocational College (ZJITC), led a delegation to the annual conference and a series of forums, and served as a guest speaker at a parallel forum. At the “Cross-border Industry-Education Cooperation Forum with Government-University-Enterprise Collaboration”, participants engaged in in-depth discussions on innovative models of talent cultivation in cooperation between college and enterprises. Wang Yan shared the college’s experience and practice in universities, focusing on enhancing quality through “bringing in” and empowering development through “going out”. The discussions generated fresh insights and practical outcomes, providing new ideas for advancing high-quality vocational education overseas and deepening the integration between education and industry chains.

CACIE has been an annual grand event in the field of international education held by the CEAIE since its inception in 2000. It is China’s largest platform for international educational cooperation and exchange, and also one of the most prestigious international events in the field of education in Asia. By focusing on the integration of science and technology with education, this year’s conference serves as a bridge for exchange and cooperation among the global educational community and promotes the high-level opening-up of education. Representatives from the International Cooperation and Exchange Office (School of International Education) of ZJITC attended the event.
