Cambodian Labor and Vocational Training Delegation Visits the College

On the afternoon of October 24, 2025, a delegation led by Chea Kosal, State Secretary (Vice Minister) of the Cambodia’s Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, visited Zhejiang Industry & Trade Vocational College (ZJITC) at its Oujiangkou Campus. Vice President Wang Yan, together with heads of relevant departments and secondary schools, accompanied the delegation during the tour and the meeting.


The delegation visited the Library and the School of Optoelectronic Manufacturing, gaining an in-depth understanding of the college’s educational history, academic and professional structure, and the progress made in developing high-level major clusters under China’s “Double High Plan” for building high-level vocational colleges with Chinese characteristics. They highly commended ZJITC’s achievements in industry-education integration and internationalization of education.

 

Following the campus tour, both sides held a meeting at the reception room of the Administration Building. On behalf of the college, Vice President Wang Yan extended his warm welcome to Chea Kosal and his delegation, and introduced the college’s initiatives to promote the internationalization of its education and the “Study at ZJITC” project. Chea Kosal noted Cambodia’s urgent demand for highly skilled professionals, emphasizing the importance of learning from China’s advanced vocational education practices. He expressed hope that the visit would foster closer cooperation between the two institutions and provide new impetus into the high-quality economic and social development of both countries.

 

The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training of Cambodia is the core department coordinating the development of the country’s labor market. Its main responsibilities cover areas such as employment promotion, social security system construction, vocational skills training planning, and labor relations collaboration. The ministry is committed to promoting productive employment, improving access to high-quality and equitable social services, and protecting the rights and interests of all workers.
