Recently, Zhejiang Industry & Trade Vocational College (ZJITC) received a letter of appreciation from the Cross-Strait Economic and Scientific Cooperation Center (CSESC). The letter highly recognized the college’s outstanding work in successfully hosting two sessions of the “Shining Stars, Rising Tides Across the Strait” E-Commerce Training Camp. It expressed sincere gratitude for ZJITC’s dedicated efforts in event organization, external liaison, logistical support, and publicity. It also commended the college for its positive contributions to enhancing Taiwanese youth’s understanding of the development of new quality productive forces on the Chinese mainland, promoting exchanges and cooperation in the e-commerce sector, and advancing integrated development across the Strait.

The “Shining Stars, Rising Tides Across the Strait” E-Commerce Training Camp (Wenzhou Ouyue Edition) was sponsored by the CSESC of the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, and co-organized by the Wenzhou Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office and ZJITC. In May 2025, the first session of the camp was successfully held in Wenzhou and Hangzhou. Taking live-streaming e-commerce as its entry point, the event built an entrepreneurship acceleration platform integrating skill training and resource matching, helping young people from both sides of the Strait share the opportunities of the digital economy. Building upon the success of the first session, the second training camp, held in November 2025, introduced an innovative AI cultural and creative design course that demonstrated how AI design tools can revolutionize products’ visual presentation and inspire content creation. The course further enhanced Taiwanese youth’s understanding of the “E-commerce + AI” industrial development model and provided a new window into the latest trends of e-commerce on the mainland.

During the event, cross-Strait participants from diverse sectors shared professional experience, explored cooperation opportunities, and established close connections. The camp not only built a communication bridge for e-commerce professionals across the Strait but also injected new vitality into the innovative development of the industry.
In recent years, ZJITC has upheld the concept of “the two sides of the Strait are one family” and taken “Integration, Co-creation and Intelligence Sharing” as its guiding theme. Working closely with the Wenzhou Municipal Taiwan Affairs Office, the college has jointly established the Wenzhou Taiwan Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Service Center and the Wenzhou-Taiwan Integrated Development Entrepreneurship Base, and spearheaded the Zhejiang-Taiwan Vocational Education Alliance. Together, these initiatives form a comprehensive exchange framework of “one center, one base, and one alliance” for cross-Strait youth cooperation. ZJITC has continuously developed signature programs such as the Cross-Strait Young Maker Workshop and the Wenzhou E-Commerce Training Camp, which have been selected as key exchange projects by the Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Ministry of Education and the Taiwan Affairs Office of Zhejiang Province. To date, the college has attracted more than 700 young people from Taiwan to Wenzhou for exchange and entrepreneurship, successfully incubated 12 start-up projects, and assisted 29 Taiwanese youth in securing stable employment in Wenzhou. These efforts are shaping a new pattern for cross-Strait integration featuring platforms for services, programs for exchange, and pathways for development. ZJITC has been honored as an “Outstanding Contributor to Zhejiang-Taiwan Economic and Social Integration and Development” and as a “Provincial Platform for Taiwan Youth Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Zhejiang Universities.”
Looking ahead, ZJITC will continue to enhance the iconic brand of cross-Strait exchanges, strengthen the mechanism of the Zhejiang-Taiwan Vocational Education Alliance, bolster service support, and facilitate the integration of more Taiwanese youth into Wenzhou’s overall development. The college will make greater contributions to promoting cross-Strait economic and social integration and to advancing the peaceful reunification of the motherland.
