ZJITC and Tsingshan Dinson Co-host Progress Meeting on the Construction of the Chinese Language and Professional Skills Center in Zimbabwe

On February 7, Zhejiang Industry & Trade Vocational College (ZJITC) and Dinson Holding of Tsingshan Group jointly held a meeting to advance the construction of the Center for Chinese Language and Professional Skills at Tsingshan Dinson in Zimbabwe. Xu Kemin, President of Dinson Industrial Co., Ltd., led a delegation to ZJITC for an inspection and exchange visit, and Yu Chuang, President of ZJITC, attended the meeting along with other representatives. Also present were He Shaobo, Assistant General Manager of Zhejiang Dinson Holdings; Dinson’s Zimbabwean representatives Wilfred Motsi, Nyasha Victor Moses Mupita and Munashe Chihambakwe; Ye Yu, Overseas Department Manager, and Huang Jianqin, Zhejiang Regional Manager of Yalong Intelligent Equipment Group Co., Ltd.; as well as heads of ZJITC’s International Cooperation and Exchange Office, the School of Optoelectronic Manufacturing, and other related departments.

     

President Yu Chuang extended a warm welcome to President Xu Kemin and his delegation. In his welcome address, President Yu noted that the swift approval of the Center for Chinese Language and Professional Skills was made possible thanks to the strong support of the Ministry of Education, and the deep engagement and sustained efforts of Tsingshan Dinson in Zimbabwe. He emphasized that ZJITC has always been committed to serving regional economic and social development, and to providing talent and intellectual support for major private enterprises from Wenzhou, such as Tsingshan Group, in their efforts to “go global”. President Yu added that ZJITC will continue to enhance the internationalization of its education, take the joint construction of the Center as an opportunity to strengthen its capacity to serve international industrial cooperation, and promote in-depth collaboration and mutual progress between the college and enterprises in the fields including talent cultivation, faculty development, technological innovation.


President Xu Kemin expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and extended best wishes for the unveiling ceremony of the Center, scheduled to be held in Zimbabwe in this May. He stated that the establishment of the Center for Chinese Language and Professional Skills at Tsingshan Dinson in Zimbabwe would not only better serve the local economic and social development, but also provide strong support for Dinson’s global expansion. He hoped that the Center would further empower its upstream and downstream enterprises, continuously improve service capabilities, and contribute to the friendship and shared development between China and Zimbabwe through pragmatic cooperation.


At the meeting, Xiahou Jun, Director of ZJITC’s International Cooperation and Exchange Office, reported on the current progress of the project and the overall construction plan for 2026, highlighting the development of the facility and the first batch of teaching resources for the Center. Munashe Chihambakwe and other  representatives of Dinson stated that the successful completion of the Center would bring multiple significant benefits to the local community, effectively enhancing residents’ employability, broadening job opportunities, and improving livelihoods.  Ye Yu from Yalong Group said that the company would actively support the Center’s construction by providing teaching equipment and technical services, thereby building a solid bridge for technical exchange and talent cultivation between the two sides.


Before the meeting, President Xu Kemin and his delegation visited ZJITC’s School of Optoelectronic Manufacturing and the International Student Dormitory to learn about the college’s facilities, program development and hands-on training.
