On March 19, Zhejiang Industry & Trade Vocational College (ZJITC) and TÜV Rheinland Group jointly hosted a seminar on the CEAIE‑TÜV Rheinland International Project for Industry‑Education Collaboration and Empowerment of High‑Level Higher Vocational Colleges. Chen Jundong, General Manager of Personnel and Business Support Services, Greater China at TÜV Rheinland Group, led a delegation to ZJITC for a visit and exchange. Wang Yan, Vice President of ZJITC, attended the meeting with other college representatives. Also present were Chen Yibo, General Manager of the Hangzhou Branch of TÜV Rheinland (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Deng Xiaoqing, Training Consultant, and Marvin Schmitz, Lecturer, of the Zhejiang Region’s Personnel and Business Support Services at TÜV Rheinland Group, as well as heads of ZJITC’s Office of International Cooperation and Exchange, School of Optoelectronic Manufacturing, and School of Artificial Intelligence.

Wang Yan extended a warm welcome to Mr. Chen Jundong and his delegation, expressing sincere appreciation to the China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) for its strong support and to TÜV Rheinland Group for its professional guidance. In his speech, Vice President Wang emphasized that ZJITC’s inclusion as one of the first institutions in the CEAIE-TÜV Rheinland Project represents an important opportunity to advance the college’s internationalization and deepen industry-education integration. Moving forward, ZJITC will leverage the project as a key driver to establish a dedicated working team, organize regular academic seminars and teacher training, and advance core tasks such as high-quality curriculum development, teaching materials compilation, program accreditation and standard dissemination, to ensure that the project delivers solid results.

Chen Jundong expressed his gratitude to ZJITC for its warm reception and spoke highly of the college’s achievements in developing the national “Double High Plan” major cluster – Intelligent Optoelectronic Manufacturing Technology, as well as the provincial “Double High Plan” major clusters – Artificial Intelligence Technology Application and New Energy Vehicle Technology. He noted that the CEAIE-TÜV Rheinland International Project for Industry-Education Collaboration and Empowerment of High-Level Higher Vocational Colleges is closely aligned with China’s national strategies, key regional industries, and the vision of promoting the global reach of China’s vocational education. By implementing initiatives such as workforce training and certification, curriculum system development and accreditation, teaching materials design and certification, and the establishment of a school-enterprise mutual recognition mechanism for talent cultivation, the project aims to precisely meet enterprise skill demands. It seeks to enhance the quality of talent training at higher vocational institutions, strengthen students’ employability in leading enterprises in regional pillar industries, and inject international momentum into the development of high-level higher vocational colleges.

Before the seminar, Chen Jundong and his delegation visited the ZJITC History Museum, the School of Optoelectronic Manufacturing, and the School of Artificial Intelligence. They gained an in-depth understanding of the college’s history, facilities, distinctive program development, and practical training activities, and commended ZJITC for its strong educational capacity and talent cultivation philosophy.
