On June 4, a delegation led by Park Jaemin, Dean of the School of International Education at South Korea’s Dongshin University, visited Zhejiang Industry & Trade Vocational College (ZJITC). Vice President Wang Yan warmly received the delegation.

The two sides held the first meeting in 2026 of the Joint Management Committee for the Sino-foreign Cooperative Education Program in Optometry Technology. At the meeting, Wang Yan welcomed the delegation and briefly introduced the college’s general profile and progress in internationalization. Focusing on the development of the cooperative program, he put forward four proposals. First, various forms of China-South Korea cultural exchange activities should be organized to enhance students’ practical Korean-language proficiency. Second, diversified and distinctive study-tour programs in South Korea should be strengthened to broaden students’ international horizons. Third, learning models and platforms should be innovated through building alliances, developing joint courses and co-organizing contests, so as to create exemplary learning programs for Chinese and South Korean students. Fourth, regular mutual faculty exchanges between the two universities should be institutionalized, with relevant incentive policies introduced to deepen collaboration in academic exchange and faculty training.

Park Jaemin spoke highly of the college’s achievements and briefly introduced Dongshin University’s international exchange programs. She said that Dongshin University would fully cooperate with ZJITC, further deepen bilateral cooperation, and continuously improve the teaching quality and talent cultivation level of the joint program.

Zhang Yunfan, Dean of the School of Design and Digital Arts of ZJITC, introduced the teaching progress of the Optometry Technology (Sino-foreign Cooperative Education) Program. He said that the program is running smoothly. The school will stay in close communication with Dongshin University, plan teaching content in advance, coordinate practical training equipment in a timely manner, and optimize classroom arrangements, aiming to provide strong support for student learning and faculty professional development.
