To further advance China-Africa cooperation in industry-education integration under the Belt and Road Initiative while contributing to South Africas modernization, the School of International Education at ZJITC, together with the Office of Research and Development, organized a delegation of young South African entrepreneurs from the Belt and Road E-Commerce Valley to visit Xingji Electrical Group on April 15. The two sides held in-depth discussions and reached consensus on key topics including international industry-education integration, the development of international order-based classes for South African students, and the global expansion of products and technologies.

Guided by company representatives, the South African entrepreneurs toured the exhibition hall, product zones, and production workshops, experiencing firsthand Chinas advanced manufacturing capabilities. They learned in detail about the companys strengths in power equipment and new energy technologies, as well as its global layout, with particular focus on products and technologies adapted to South Africas power market. The two sides exchanged views on South Africas demand for power infrastructure and new energy development. The South African entrepreneurs shared insights into local market opportunities and talent shortages, while Xingji Electric introduced its overseas strategies and technical service capabilities, expressing its commitment to the South African market and its willingness to support local modernization, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.

During the discussion, the School of International Education presented an overview of its training programs for South African students. Both sides reached a preliminary agreement on co-developing international order-based classes in electrical engineering, providing targeted internship opportunities, and building a collaborative education model integrating enrollment-training-internship-employment. The collaboration was recognized as an effective means to cultivate localized power industry talents for South Africas modernization, while building a talent pipeline to support the companys overseas development, thereby achieving a win-win outcome for the school, the company, and the students.

This visit marks a significant step for the school in implementing the Belt and Road Initiative and promoting international industry-education integration. Moving forward, the school will continue to strengthen school-enterprise cooperation, enhance training programs for South African students, and further develop order-based classes, thereby building a broader platform for China-South Africa cultural exchange and industrial collaboration.
