To promote exchanges and cooperation between Chinese and international youth and build a bridge connecting international students with local enterprises, on May 21, the School of International Education of Zhejiang Industry & Trade Vocational College (ZJITC) organized a delegation of South African entrepreneurs from the Belt and Road E-business Valley to attend the “Navigating the Blue Ocean·Interational Maker Matchmatching” event on quality products and cultural outreach at the World Lucheng Talent Urban Hall. The event was co-hosted by the Exit-Entry Administration of the Wenzhou Public Security Bureau and the Wenzhou International Youth Entrepreneurship Park.

The matchmaking event, themed “Products Go Global and Cultural Exchange,” attracted over ten quality local enterprises from Wenzhou. At the event, Wenzhou-based enterprises showcased export-oriented products and cooperation models across a wide range of sectors, including aluminum processing, sewing equipment, amusement facilities, fluid control, cultural and creative printing, restaurant chains, cross-border cultural communication, and international trade. These presentations highlighted the diversity and global vitality of Wenzhou’s private economy for the international students in attendance. During the mid-session and post-event networking sessions, international students engaged in face-to-face communication with company representatives on topics such as cross-border trade, overseas market expansion, and cooperation in taking culture global. Many South African students, drawing on their understanding of local conditions in their home countries, offered valuable localization advice for enterprises seeking to expand into African markets.

ZJITC’s School of International Education has long been committed to creating practical exchange platforms for international students. This event enabled participants to gain a closer look at the global expansion efforts of Wenzhou-based enterprises, while also serving as an effective bridge for innovation, entrepreneurship, and cross-border cooperation among Chinese and international youth. Going forward, the school will continue to leverage local resources in Wenzhou to organize more diverse international exchange activities, helping international students better integrate into the city and connect with the wider world, while building a youth bridge for Wenzhou enterprises seeking global expansion.
